Quick Overview
Tour Plan
Our tour manager will meet you at the Colombo International Airport and assist with your hotel transfer. The Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage in Kegalle will be reached by automobile. The trip, which takes around three hours, is the ideal way to see Sri Lanka's countryside.
In order to save and care for orphaned elephants, the Sri Lanka Wildlife Department founded the Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage in 1975. The orphanage hosts over 93 elephants, including baby elephants.
You will leave for the Dambulla cave temples after breakfast. One of Sri Lanka's biggest and best-preserved cave temples is the Golden Rock Temple in Dambulla, which is recognised as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
After that, you'll go to another UNESCO World Heritage Site, Sigiriya Rock Fortress. Constructed on a 200-meter rock, the location is well-known for its palace remains. The fortress is surrounded by a vast network of gardens, water reservoirs, and other attractions. In addition to touring the stronghold, you will see the Pidurangala Rock, which is well-known for its reclining Buddha figure, and the Sigiriya Museum. Don't miss Minneriya National Park, which is well-known for the herds of elephants that come there to eat and drink.
After breakfast, depart the hotel and travel to Kandy, the final royal capital of Sri Lanka. The Temple of the Tooth in Kandy is well-known because it houses a canine tooth that is thought to be that of Gautama Buddha. Esala Perahara, an annual parade to celebrate the sacred tooth and honour Sri Lanka's ancient gods, is held at the temple.
You will start your exploration of Kandy today by visiting Nuwara Eliya. This settlement, known as Little England, is the highest in Sri Lanka. The British commanders who cherished the crisp, cool air made it their preferred getaway. Today, the area is well-known for its tea plantations, colonial structures, and the breathtaking Horton Plains National Park.
The Royal Botanical Gardens in Peradeniya will also be on your itinerary. The garden is well-known for its tropical plants and trees, such as the Javan fig tree, the 40-meter-tall Burma bamboo, and the cannonball fruit tree.
Leave your accommodation today and travel to Colombo. You get to see the stunning scenery during the about five-hour voyage. You can even make a stop along the road to see other well-known sights, such as the Dutch Canal and St. Mary's Church.
After checking into your accommodation in Colombo, unwind for a while. Take a tour of the city afterwards. You will see parts of the city's business districts and residential streets with trees, such as Cinnamon Gardens. The Bazaar Area, the Dutch Church of Wolfendhal, the Fort Area, and Sea Street in Pettah are a few more tourist destinations. Don't miss the Avukana Buddha Statue replica housed in Independence Square and the Bandaranaike Memorial International Conference Hall.
Your trip package to Sri Lanka comes to an end when you check out of the hotel and go to the airport.
