Welcome to Yatra! Upon arriving at the airport, we will be waiting to transfer you to your hotel. Check the information boards in the hotel reception area for details of the welcome meeting with your guide and fellow travelers.

After breakfast we travel to GEDSER, a small town, which is the southernmost of Scandinavia. At around 11 hrs. we take a modern ferry to Germany. Two-hour journey through the Baltic Sea, we suggest having lunch on the ship. ROSTOCK, arrival and time for a walk in this city, the largest German port of the Baltic. His old town has a lot of life highlighting the market square, the City Council and the St. Marys Church. We continue our route to Poland through the Pomerania region. SZCZECIN, arrival in the evening to this historic university city on the banks of the Oder that has a pleasant historical center, highlighting the Castle of the Princes of Pomerania and the terraces next to the river. Free time for a walk.

 

After breakfast we will cross calm regions of western Poland (which were part of Germany until the end of World War II) and arrive to BYDGOSZCZ. Time for a walk and lunch in this historical city known for its architectural beauty in its historic center, its parks and its channels (which connect the Vistula River with the Oder). We continue our route to TORUN, walled Gothic city with a magnificent historic center, declared a World Heritage by UNESCO, where Copernicus was born. If you want, you can visit his museum-house. Time for a walk. We follow our route to the capital of Poland: WARSAW, arrival at the end of the day.

We include a city tour of WARSAW in the morning, with a local guide. The city, with almost two million inhabitants and the political and economic center of Poland, represents a combination of modern architecture and restored historic buildings. We will have a walk through the charming old town, with its historic buildings, the Royal Palace and its cobbled streets, all restored after its destruction during the Second World War and now declared a world heritage site. We will see the Palace of Culture, a skyscraper gift from the Soviet Union, we will remember, what was the largest Jewish ghetto in Europe and we will walk through Lazienkowski Park, where the Chopin monument is located.Free time in the afternoon, when you can visit its museums (the National Museum and the Warsaw Uprising Museum) or stroll through its active center full of commercial life.
