Quick Overview
Tour Plan
Your journey begins as you touch down at Muscat International Airport. Once you've smoothly cleared immigration, collected your baggage, and passed through customs, make your way to the arrival hall. There, you'll be greeted by your chauffeur, who will be your guide throughout your trip. From the airport, you'll be transferred to your hotel in Muscat, where you'll be spending the night.
Begin your day with a hotel pickup and get ready to start off a captivating journey through Muscat, the heart of Oman. The first stop is the Grand Mosque, a true gem and a defining feature of Muscat. Please note that visits to the mosque are not possible on Fridays or other public holidays. This architectural marvel, completed in 2001, seamlessly blends modern design with the traditional craftsmanship that Oman is renowned for. The Grand Mosque is a photographer's dream, with its handcrafted carpets, stunning chandeliers, and the awe-inspiring main prayer room under the grand dome. It's an absolute must-see. A quick reminder: For our female visitors, please ensure that you are fully covered and carry a headscarf, and for the gentlemen, kindly don trousers.
We'll then go for a scenic drive along the picturesque waterfront Corniche, taking in the vibrant sights of the Muttrah Souq, a bustling and colourful market that is a true sensory delight. Our journey continues with a photo stop at the magnificent Al Alam Palace, the official residence of His Majesty Sultan Qaboos, framed by the historic Portuguese forts Mirani and Jalali, dating back to the 16th century.
Next, we'll visit the Bait Al Zubair Museum, offering a fascinating glimpse into Oman's rich history and heritage. The remainder of the day is yours to enjoy at your leisure. When evening falls, return to your hotel in Muscat for a peaceful overnight stay.
On this exciting day, we'll arrange your transfer from your Muscat hotel to the Marina, where a captivating maritime adventure awaits. Our destination: the open seas, as we go on a boat to search for the most delightful marine creatures, dolphins, and the majestic whales.
Watching these wild dolphins frolic in their natural habitat is a breathtaking way to kickstart your day. If luck is on your side, you might even be treated to a sighting of one of the various whale species that inhabit the waters just a stone's throw away from Muscat's rugged coastline. While we can't promise you'll see them all, the journey itself is bound to be an enriching experience that will deepen your understanding of these captivating marine mammals.
After the sea-bound escapade, you will return to the Marina and then head back to your hotel. The rest of the day is yours to enjoy at your leisure. You'll spend the night at your Muscat hotel, having had a truly memorable day.
After breakfast, move to the scenic Wahiba Sands by a four-wheel drive vehicle to enjoy the scenic sand dunes and golden sunset. On the way, you’ll enjoy the breathtaking scenery of the Gulf of Oman, including the blue waters that offset the pristine white beaches. As you drive past the fishing village of Quriyat, don't miss the scenic view of the Wadi Dayqah Dam, the largest dam in Oman, and the many flamingoes and migratory birds that visit its inlet streams.
Your next stop is Wadi Al Arbaeen, one of Oman’s best wadis. You can swim on one or many of its pools, enjoy a BBQ meal, or go picnicking in one of the many waterfalls in the wadi. You’ll also visit the Bimmah Sinkhole, a spectacular limestone crater with crystal clear turquoise waters. Locals believe that the sinkhole may have been created by a meteorite. You can access the sinkhole through a staircase and take a dip in the clear blue waters.
The next stop on the itinerary is the city of Sur. It is famous for its ancient ruins, watch towers and beautiful beaches. Stop for a visit to a traditional dhow factory before winding through the mountain terrains to proceed to the Wahiba Sands, where we have planned an overnight stay at the Arabian Oryx Camp. It's an exhilarating feeling to drive through the undulating and ever-changing red and white sand dunes that could rise to over 200 metres. Don't miss to capture the changing patterns of the sand dunes on your camera.
Start your day with a complimentary breakfast before moving to explore the neighbouring Bedouin villages. You’ll also visit a Bedouin home to understand their daily life and experience firsthand how they survive in the dessert.
The next stop in the itinerary is Wadi Bani Khalid. This is the only wadis in Oman with a yearly water supply. It is one of the most beautiful wadis in the country, famous for its clear waters, picturesque scenery, and activities like swimming, hiking, and sunbathing. Later you will drive back to the Muscat International Airport to catch your flight back home.
