Quick Overview
Tour Plan
When you arrive at the airport, finish your airport paperwork, and then we'll take you to the hotel. Check-in at the hotel. In the evening, you will go on a city tour. You will start at the Temple of Literature, which is the first university in Vietnam. After that, you will go to Ba Dinh Square, the biggest square in Hanoi. This is where important cultural and political events take place. You can take photos of the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum from the outside.
Next, you will get a broad view of the capital city by taking a "cyclo" ride. This fun ride will take you around the Old Quarter of Hanoi, and you will stop at Ngoc Son Temple by the Hoan Kiem Lake, also known as the "Sword" Lake. You will spend the night at the hotel in Hanoi.
After a tasty breakfast, you will head to the charming villages where Vietnamese people grow rice. These villages are part of the Red River Delta, and you will get a glimpse of everyday life there. Your destination is Halong Bay, a place recognized as a Natural World Heritage site by UNESCO since 1994 and 2006.
When you reach Halong, you will go to the pier and hop on a lovely traditional wooden boat for a cruise through the bay. During the cruise, you will see interesting rock formations like Stone Dog, Incense Burner (Dinh Huong), and Fighting Cock (Ga Choi). While on the boat, you will have a tasty lunch with seafood.
After having breakfast, check out from the hotel. Your first stop will be the Ho Chi Minh Complex, which includes Ba Dinh Square, Ho Chi Minh’s Mausoleum, and his private residence from 1954 to 1969. The wooden house, built on stilts in an ethnic minority style, is surrounded by peaceful gardens. In the same area, you will see the One Pillar Pagoda, a significant symbol for the people of Hanoi, founded by King Ly Thai To in 1049.
Next, you will visit Tran Quoc Pagoda, the oldest pagoda in Hanoi, with a history of over 1,500 years. After a short walk, you will explore Hanoi Flag Tower and Thang Long Citadel, recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2010, providing insight into Vietnam's history. In the afternoon, you will head to the airport for your flight to Siem Reap. Upon arrival, our representative will pick you up from the airport and take you to the hotel for check-in. The rest of the day is free for you to relax. Overnight at the hotel in Siem Reap.
In the morning, after a tasty breakfast, you will check out the South Gate of Angkor Thom, also known as Big Angkor. This place used to be the royal city and was the last capital of the Angkor Empire. You will explore the famous Bayon Temple, which looks a bit mixed up because it was built in various parts over more than a century.
Next, you will see the Terrace of the Elephants, a long wall with carved elephants in front of Baphuon, a huge temple mountain in the heart of Angkor Thom. You will also visit the Royal Palace Area, Phimeanakas (an impressive sandstone pyramid), and the Terrace of the Leper King, which has carvings of mythical beings.
This morning, after a delicious breakfast, you'll be taken to the airport for your flight back home or to your next destination.
